Your Rights Online: DVD-Watching Driver Charged with Murder

27 July 2004 One Comment

joke-boy writes “CNN reports that a driver in Alaska is being charged with second-degree murder for allegedly causing a fatality accident by driving while watching the movie ‘Road Trip’ in an in-dash DVD player. The driver contends he was just listening to music. Alaska has no laws prohibiting drivers from watching DVDs, although many other states do.”

Ok Joel whats with the news reports every day? Anyways, I dont get the point of having all that extra stuff in ur car. Do u ever watch Pimp My Ride on MTV. On this show ppl who have really f’ed cars are chosen to get their cars made over by West Coast Rides or whateva for free… and I mean they completely remake these cars over almost starting from scratch. They put in dvd players, playstation 2′s, fish tanks, shoe racks, dj sets in the trunk… like u name it they can just about do it… I mean ok cool… u have ppl riding in ur car or whateva and u have a dvd player… thats good… long trip they can watch a movie… long trip they can play some video games… but that ish is stupid if its predominantly u in ur car and u dont go any where of some distance then why do u need those things… u can’t watch or play cuz u r driving… just a waste of money… want it cuz they made it…
